The Athletes Unlimited Softball league offseason is officially underway, and though the 2027 season is still over six months away, general managers are hard at work securing next season’s roster.
Athletes offered contracts will re-sign throughout the next month. These signings will include returning players from the 2026 season and those who were provisional selections during the 2026 AUSL College Draft.
Players who were not offered a returning contract will be notified and released but remain eligible for selection in the Allocation Draft this winter and can join the Reserve Athlete Pool.
Reserve Pool players who competed during the 2026 AUSL season and were not provisional selections are not eligible for contracts during the signing period. They can elect to be eligible for selection during an Allocation Draft.
