The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) made a splash on Jan. 29 when the four teams drafted 12 out of 16 roster spots for the 2025 season. The Bandits, Blaze, Talons, and Volts all have spots to fill ahead of Opening Day in June with opportunities to sign one additional player ahead of the college draft to round out their rosters.
Below is a running list of notable transactions and updates throughout the AUSL preseason.
Feb. 17: Blaze sign Danielle Gibson Whorton
Gibson Whorton is the 13th player on the Blaze roster and one of two corner infielders signed.
Feb. 20: Volts sign Sam Show
Show is the first utility player signed by the Volts. She is a two-way player who can pitch and hit.
March 4: Bandits sign Jordan Roberts
Roberts is the second catcher signed to the Bandits with four years of pro experience.
March 6: Talons sign Mariah Lopez
Lopez is the fourth pitcher signed to the Talons. She most recently competed professionally with the New York Rise of the Association of Fastpitch Professionals.
