Texas Volts two-way player Rachel Garcia is headed back to the MLBx stage, this time in Japan.

Garcia will compete at MLBx: Fukuoka on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka, home of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). The event marks the first time Major League Baseball’s 3-on-3 competition will take place in Japan.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after Garcia earned MVP honors at MLBx: Mumbai on Oct. 24, where she helped her New York Yankees squad claim the championship in the event’s debut in India.

Garcia teamed up with former MLB outfielder Nick Swisher and Indian cricket star Suryakumar Yadav. The trio defeated a Los Angeles Dodgers squad featuring Utah Talons infielder Jordan Woolery in the championship round.

The victory marked Garcia’s second MLBx MVP award of 2026. She previously earned the honor during MLB All-Star Week in Philadelphia, where she delivered a walk-off home run in the semifinals and helped Team Shane Victorino secure the title.

Now, the Volts star will look to continue her success as MLBx expands to another international destination.

Other announced participants include former MLB players Adam Jones and Jonny Gomes, along with Daisuke Matsuzaka, Kazuo Matsui, Akinori Iwamura, Nobuhiko Matsunaka, Nobuhiro Matsuda, Shintaro Fujinami, Kenshi Sugiya, Lee Dae-ho and Wladimir Balentien.
