Maya Brady, who was originally on the injured reserve list for the Talons, made her AUSL debut on Wednesday, July 16, in the series opener against the Blaze.

Since then, Brady went 7-for-7 with three walks in her first 10 plate appearances with the Talons. The utility is just another addition to the powerful offense of the top team in the league. Here is how she got it done:

Talons 4 – Blaze 1

  1. BOTTOM OF FIRST: Maya Brady walked in her very first professional at bat, seeing nine pitches from the arm of Alana Vawter. She then stole second and eventually scored off a Tori Vidales sac fly in the bottom of the first inning giving the Talons a 2-1 lead.
  2. BOTTOM OF THIRD: In her next at bat, Brady had a single up the middle off the arm of Vawter.
  3. BOTTOM OF FIFTH: Brady singled to shortstop off of Kelani Ricketts, advancing Sierra Sacco to third base.

Talons 5 – Blaze 4

  1. BOTTOM OF FIRST: Brady walked after an eight-pitch at bat facing Emma Lemley. She advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Hannah Flippen single to center field.
  2. BOTTOM OF SECOND: Brady singled to shortstop off the arm of Lemley and advanced Victoria Hayward to third.
  3. BOTTOM OF FOURTH: Brady knocked her first home run of the season with a shot down the left field line, earning two RBIs as well. The deep fly off Aliyah Binford put the Talons on top by two.
  4. BOTTOM OF SIXTH: Brady continues her hitting streak with a single to center field against Devyn Netz.
