College Experience: Appalachian State (2023–2026) / Campbell (2021–2023)
McClain was a two-year letter winner at Appalachian State after playing at Campbell as a freshman and sophomore, earning a starting assignment in 95 games over two seasons at Appalachian State and 92-of-104 games during her two years at Campbell.
Offensive Statistics: She compiled a .342 career batting average with 36 home runs, 133 runs batted in, and 202 career hits, including 34 doubles and 10 triples.
At Appalachian State: Finished her two seasons with 121 hits and 115 runs scored while belting 32 home runs with 93 runs batted in.
Senior Season: Set Appalachian State single-season records for home runs (18), runs scored (64), and slugging percentage (.795), while matching the school single-season total bases record (128). She established a new school single-game RBI record with two grand slams against Columbia on February 13, 2026, and also hit two home runs at No. 1 Tennessee.
Junior Season: Led the Mountaineers in hits (61), batting average (.381), runs scored (55), home runs (14), runs batted in (50), and total bases (119). She became the first player in program history to hit for the cycle (against Coastal Carolina on May 3, 2025) and the second player to drive in 50 or more runs in a single season. She also led the team with 19 multi-hit games during the 2025 campaign.
At Campbell: Collected 79 hits, including 13 doubles, seven triples, and four home runs, while scoring 57 runs and driving in 37 runs for the Fighting Camels.
Sophomore Season: Started 35-of-47 contests, contributing 21 hits with 20 runs scored while drawing 12 walks.
Freshman Season: Opened her college career by starting 57 games while leading the Fighting Camels to a Big South Conference tournament title. Hit .341 with 58 hits, including nine doubles, six triples, and two home runs, while driving in 29 runs, scoring 37 runs, and recording 31 stolen bases.
Awards & Honors
All-Region: Two-time Second-Team NFCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection at Appalachian State.
Conference Honors: Two-time First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection at Appalachian State, and a member of the Big South All-Freshman Team at Campbell.
