Piper lists former Ohio State assistant coach Anna Kirk as someone who has made a difference in her life. She also wears No. 47 in honor of Kirk, who donned the number during her playing career with the Buckeyes. As a child, Piper participated in football, basketball, and soccer. She enjoys listening to music and coaching softball and lists "Magic Stick" by Lil Kim as her walk-up song.
