Personal: Kelsey Stewart-Hunter is the daughter of Lori and Christopher Stewart. Stewart-Hunter lists her father and Florida head softball coach Tim Walton as people who have made a difference in her life. She models her game after Natasha Watley. Stewart-Hunter says being in the elevator with WNBA and NBA players at the Olympics is a moment when she felt starstruck. As a child, Stewart-Hunter was involved in volleyball, track and field, and cheerleading. She works as the director of softball for Tarkett Sports. Stewart-Hunter graduated from Florida with a degree in telecommunications. She served as an assistant softball coach at Ohio State University during the 2024 campaign. In high school, Stewart-Hunter played two years of volleyball and basketball. Her proudest accomplishment is being a mother to her sons, Trace and Hutton. Stewart-Hunter reads 65 to 70 books per year and has worn No. 7 since her high school career.

2024 Championship Season: Stewart-Hunter placed 13th on the final leaderboard with 1,370 points. She ranked third in the league with 1,190 win points and tied for the league lead with an 11-4 game record. Stewart-Hunter started in all 15 games, tallying 10 hits with eight runs scored. She drove in four runs, drew four walks, and stole two bases in two attempts. She received MVP 3 recognition after going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two runs batted in against Team Kilfoyl on August 2. Stewart-Hunter closed Week One with two hits against Team Svekis. She reached 100 or more leaderboard points in nine games, including six of her final seven contests.


2024 AUX Season: Stewart-Hunter earned 11th place in the final league standings after collecting 1,070 leaderboard points. She secured 890 win points and 180 stat points and tied with corner infielder Delanie Wisz and outfielder Bubba Nickles for the league lead with 540 inning win points. Additionally, Stewart-Hunter authored a 7-5 game win record and tied for second in the league with seven games of 100 or more leaderboard points, including five of the final six outings. She was a starter in 11 games and registered a .267 batting average, collecting eight hits, including a double, while driving in four runs. Stewart-Hunter also drew nine walks and ended the season with a five-game hitting streak, including a two-hit performance against Team Mazon on June 25. She notched a season-high 130 leaderboard points four times.


2023 Championship Season: Stewart-Hunter secured ninth place on the final leaderboard with 1,538 points. She ranked fourth in the league with 1,280 win points and scored 11 runs to rank second in the circuit. She was a starter in all 15 games with a .245 batting average. She tallied 13 hits, including two doubles, and recorded five multi-hit performances. Stewart-Hunter earned MVP 3 honors after going 2-for-4 with two runs batted in against Team Mulipola on July 30. She received her second MVP 3 commendation against Team Zerkle in the Week Two opener after collecting two hits and scoring a run. She also posted two hits against Team Faraimo on August 5 with two runs. She registered 11 games with 100 or more leaderboard points, including the last six games in a row. 


2023 AUX Season: Stewart-Hunter accumulated 652 leaderboard points in her first AUX campaign. This included 530 win points and 102 stat points. She was awarded the MVP 3 distinction in Team Mulipola's 10-7 loss against Team Zerkle on June 14. She started in 7 out of 9 games and had a batting average of .174. She recorded four hits, including two doubles, and scored five runs. Her standout performance came on June 14 against Team Zerkle, where she went 3-for-3 with two doubles. Stewart-Hunter also started the season with a hit and a run scored against Team Garcia on June 12.


2021 Championship Season: Stewart-Hunter finished third on the leaderboard with 1,612 points. She tied for second in win points with Sis Bates, earning 1,190 points. She ranked ninth in the league with 362 stat points. Stewart-Hunter hit .375 while starting all 15 games. She tied for the league lead with five doubles and was hit by a pitch three times. She also ranked second with 18 hits, fifth in the league with 11 runs scored, and 48 at-bats. Stewart-Hunter tallied three home runs while driving in eight runs. She finished the season with 32 total bases, which was good for a share of third place in the league. She was one of 13 players to record a sacrifice fly.


2020 Championship Season: Stewart-Hunter earned 1,270 leaderboard points to claim 24th place in the league standings. She started in 14-of-15 games, hit .209 with nine hits in 43 at-bats, scored eight runs, and contributed two doubles. She also ranked among league leaders with three stolen bases in three attempts.


Other Professional Experience: Stewart-Hunter started her professional career with the National Pro Fastpitch's USSSA Pride in 2016. She spent the 2017 campaign with the Texas Charge before playing two years with the Scrap Yard Dawgs. During her rookie season, Stewart-Hunter collected six hits and five runs batted in. In 2017, she appeared in three games and went 4-for-6 at the plate. Stewart-Hunter was a member of the This Is Us team in 2020.


International Experience: Stewart-Hunter was a member of Team USA from 2014 to 2021. She won a Silver medal with Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and also claimed a Silver medal at the 2014 WBSC Women's World Championship. Stewart-Hunter competed at the Pan American Games three times, winning Gold medals in 2017 and 2019, in addition to a Silver medal in 2015. She was also a member of the 2013 United States Junior National Team.

At Florida: During her college years, Stewart-Hunter was a four-year letter winner at Florida who started all 259 career games from 2013-16. She was a member of the 2014 and 2015 NCAA Champion teams. Stewart-Hunter posted a .391 career batting average for the Gators with 15 home runs and 145 runs batted in. She tallied 355 career hits, including 49 doubles and 29 triples, while scoring 257 runs. She also drew 101 walks during her career. Stewart-Hunter was a two-time First-Team NFCA All-America selection (2014, 2015) and a three-time NFCA All-Region performer. She earned Southeastern Conference Player of the Year distinction as a junior and was a member of the All-SEC First Team and SEC All-Defensive Team in 2014 and 2015. She was a Second-Team All-SEC pick as a freshman and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. Stewart-Hunter earned a spot on the Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team in 2014 and 2015. She is Florida’s career leader in at-bats (914), runs scored (259), hits (357), triples (29), total bases (509), and stolen bases (113). She ranks second in Gators history for career batting average. She is one of two Florida players to register 100 or more hits in a season, including a school-record 102 hits during the 2014 campaign. Stewart-Hunter also holds school records with 11 triples in 2015 and 36 stolen bases in 2013 and 2014. She set a school record by registering a hit in 22 consecutive games from March 17 to May 17, 2015. She scored four runs against Ole Miss on March 8, 2014, to tie the single-game school record.
