Personal: Spaid is the daughter of Daniela and Chris Spaid. She has one older brother named Jake. Spaid majored in sports leadership and management at Miami University. She lists her travel ball coach, Lauren McNulty, as a person who has made a difference in her life. Spaid competed in numerous sports as a child, including basketball, track and field, cross country, and volleyball. She enjoys cooking. Spaid lists playing in the first game in the history of Love’s Field and seeing a flyover during the national anthem as a time when she felt starstruck.

2024 AUX Season: Spaid collected 810 leaderboard points, including 690 win points, during her first professional season. She was a starter in 6-of-10 games as a rookie and tallied four hits, including a pair of home runs. Spaid drove in four runs while scoring three times. She blasted a home run in back-to-back games against Team Wiggins and Team Leach on June 13. Spaid secured a season-high 120 leaderboard points three times. She was also one of the 15 players selected in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball College Draft.


International Experience: Spaid guided Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2021 Junior Women’s World Championship by hitting 10-for-23 with two home runs and six runs batted in. Spaid also competed for Team USA at the 2021 WBSC U-18 Junior Women’s Americas Qualifier, where she posted a .400 batting average with two home runs and six runs batted in.

At Miami (Ohio): Spaid was a four-year letter winner at Miami University who started 223-of-225 games for the RedHawks from 2021-24. She led the RedHawks to a 174-56-1 record, including a 107-16 mark against Mid-American Conference opponents. Spaid was a member of four consecutive MAC regular season and tournament champion teams. She was a four-time First-Team All-MAC honoree and was a unanimous choice as the league’s Player of the Year in 2024. Spaid was also a member of the 2024 NFCA All-Mideast Region First Team and a Top-10 Finalist for the 2024 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. 


She joined Jocelyn Alo as the only player in NCAA Division I history to hit 100 or more career home runs. Spaid stands as Miami’s career leader in home runs (103), runs scored (253), hits (274), and runs batted in (258). She is second in program history with 56 career stolen bases while her 102 walks are good for fourth on the RedHawks’ all-time ledger. Spaid holds third place on the RedHawks’ career ledger with a .395 batting average. She posted a .400 or better hitting mark in three of her four seasons, including a career-high .413 success rate as a sophomore. Spaid belted 36 home runs as a senior to rank second on the NCAA Division I all-time single-season list. She also tallied a .407 batting average with 72 hits, including 13 doubles and a triple. 


Spaid matched the school single-season record with 78 runs scored while eclipsing the single-season standard with 76 runs batted in. She was honored as the 2024 MAC Tournament MVP after going 5-for-10 at the plate with four runs scored and four runs batted in. Spaid also hit the first home run in Love’s Field history at Oklahoma on March 1, 2024. She led the RedHawks with 22 multi-hit games while driving in multiple runs in 21 outings. Spaid earned Second-Team All-America accolades from D1Softball as a junior after ranking fourth in the nation with 22 home runs. She also garnered First-Team All-MAC notice with a .359 batting average and 54 runs scored. 


Spaid collected 66 hits during the 2023 campaign, including 10 doubles, while adding 61 runs batted in. She was a starter in all 58 games as a sophomore and became the first player in program history to receive NFCA All-America distinction after claiming Third-Team plaudits. Spaid hit .413 with 28 home runs and 70 runs batted in. She also added 10 doubles and two triples while ranking second on the team with 27 walks. Spaid recorded a hit in 45-of-58 games with 24 multi-hit efforts. She was honored as MAC Freshman of the Year in 2021 after hitting .403 while starting 48-of-50 games with 17 home runs and 49 runs batted in.
