Personal: Wagner works as an assistant teacher in daycare and after-school program at Munson Healthcare-Children Educational Services. She has an Australian shepherd named Bandit and is inspired by her parents and grandmother. Wagner lists her college coaches - Carol Hutchins, Bonnie Tholl and Jennifer Brundage - as people who have made a difference in her life. Her hobbies include reading, baking, visiting new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. Wagner is motivated by making her family proud by pushing herself beyond limits. She also played soccer until she was 11 years old and majored in general studies at Michigan. Wagner received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan in 2020 while working as a graduate manager for the Wolverines’ softball team. Her sister, Kylie, played softball at UNLV from 2010-12, and her brother, Tyler, played baseball at Georgetown College and was the recipient of the 2019 ABCA-Rawlings NAIA Gold Glove at third base. Wagner's favorite Athletes Unlimited memories are being the first Gold team captain in Championship Season history and being drafted by Amanda Chidester as part of her final team in 2022.

2023 AUX Season: Wagner accumulated 730 leaderboard points, including 670 win points. She was awarded the MVP 3 honor on June 15 in a Team Zerkle victory over Team Garcia. In that game, Haylie pitched a season-high 6.2 innings. Throughout the season, she appeared in six games with three starts and earned a record of 2-1. Wagner had a 6.53 earned run average and recorded four strikeouts over 15.0 innings. Wagner's first win of the season came in her first appearance, where she held Team Mulipola to one unearned run on four hits over 3.2 innings, with one strikeout. 


2022 Championship Season: In Wagner's third year with Athletes Unlimited, she earned 764 leaderboard points. Wagner made nine appearances in the circle, six of which were starts. She recorded a 1-2 record with a 7.92 earned run average and collected 13 strikeouts over 20.1 innings. Wagner threw a season-high 5.1 innings against Team Harshman during Week Two and had three performances with three strikeouts each.


2022 AUX Season: Wagner placed 17th in the league standings with 1,024 leaderboard points. In five appearances, three of which were starts, she compiled a 2-0 record with a 3.00 earned run average. Wagner scattered 17 hits over 18.2 innings and allowed eight earned runs. She threw at least 4.0 innings in four of her five appearances and posted a season-high six strikeouts against Team Mulipola in a June 18 victory. Wagner earned a win in relief against Team Ocasio on June 13 after allowing one unearned run and two hits in 2.0 innings. 


2021 Championship Season: Wagner finished in 18th place on the leaderboard with 1,320 points. She tied for ninth with 1,050 win points and was fifth in the league with 11 appearances in the circle. Wagner ranked seventh with a 3.61 earned run average in 31.0 innings and posted a 2-2 record with a save. She was one of four pitchers to record a save and tied for third in the league with 23 strikeouts.


2020 Championship Season: Wagner ranked 10th on the leaderboard with 1,662 points. She accumulated 472 stat points to finish eighth among all athletes and tied for sixth with 180 MVP points. Wagner made 12 appearances in the circle, including nine starts. She was third in the league with a 3.13 earned run average while authoring a 5-4 record. Wagner ranked second among all pitchers with three complete games and tied for second with 62.0 innings pitched. She conceded 67 hits and 28 earned runs and was third in the loop with 31 strikeouts.


Other Professional Experience: Wagner accumulated 30 wins and 11 saves over five NPF seasons after being signed by the Pennsylvania Rebellion in 2015. She authored an 11-5 record in 2017 with 51 strikeouts over 90.3 innings and posted a 6-2 mark in 2018 with 33 strikeouts while throwing 44.0 innings.

At Michigan: Wagner was a four-year letter winner at Michigan from 2012-2015. She played in 162 games with 121 starts and authored a 100-18 career record in the circle with a 1.82 earned run average. Wagner also registered 20 career shutouts for the Wolverines along with 66 complete games and seven saves. She struck out 518 hitters in 720.0 innings and also tallied a .164 average as a hitter with seven home runs and 32 runs batted in. Wagner was a two-time NFCA All-America selection, including Second-Team notice as a junior, and was also tabbed Third-Team All-America during her senior season. She was a three-time NFCA All-Region honoree and was named Big Ten Pitcher and Freshman of the Year in 2012. Wagner was a four-time All-Big Ten selection who received First-Team commendations as a freshman and senior. She was also a member of the 2015 Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team.
