The stage is set in Tuscaloosa for the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League Championship presented by Sephora between the Bandits and Talons, the top two teams of the regular season. Now the seeding is in, too – the Talons earned the No. 1 seed for the title series.
They will have home-field advantage in Game 1 and Game 3 (if necessary). The Talons stand with a 17-5 record with two games remaining in the regular season.
The Bandits (14-8) and Talons have traded blows throughout summer; they’ve split their eight meetings with neither team winning consecutive games in the series.
What’s left
Each team has a chance to work out kinks and build momentum with a two-game regular-season series left on the schedule. The Bandits will go back to Rosemont and face the Blaze while the Talons will go ahead to Tuscaloosa to see the Volts a final time. Both games will be on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
How to watch
The first two games of the AUSL Championship will air live on ESPN. The opening game of the series will take place on Saturday, July 26, at 3 p.m. ET. The second game is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT on Sunday, July 27.
If necessary, the third game will be held on Monday, July 28, at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
