AUSL Pitcher of the Series: Montana Fouts earns Pitcher of the Series honors for the first time this season after being a mainstay for the Talons in their series against the Blaze in Salt Lake City, Utah. The righty logged a win and a save in the four-game series, making three appearances in the circle. Across 9.0 innings of work, Fouts allowed just seven hits and one earned run with no walks while striking out three batters. Blaze opponents had just a .206 batting average against her in the series.
AUSL Player of the Series: Maya Brady’s pro debut for the Talons could not have been more consistent or productive for the team in this series. After coming off the Injured List, Brady reached base safely in the first 10 at-bats of her AUSL career, recording seven hits and three walks. She fit into the two-hole seamlessly; two of her walks were for eight pitches or more, providing key insight for batters following her in the lineup. In Game 1, she stole second, causing a throwing error and allowing the first run to score. Brady hit a go-ahead two-run blast in Game 2, then scored the go-ahead run the following game with a single up the middle. She finished the series 8-for-11 with three RBIs, a double, and a home run.
