AUSL Pitcher of the Series: The Volts’ Rachel Garcia earns her second Pitcher of the Series honor in similar fashion to how she opened the season, throwing another complete game against the Blaze. It was her second in 2025, and she remains the only Athletes Unlimited Softball League pitcher to throw one so far. Evening her record to 2-2, Garcia gave up just one run on four hits with a season-high nine strikeouts. She finished with 126 pitches on Wednesday night.
AUSL Player of the Series: Bandits infielder Erin Coffel, a second-year pro, took advantage of the short series, going 3-for-4 against the Talons and hitting a home run in back-to-back games. In the first matchup, Coffel belted her first home run of the season in the sixth inning, a three-run shot to center field that gave the Bandits a 3-1 lead. She also recorded a walk and a hit-by-pitch. On Thursday night, the Bandits had to work to overcome a 4-1 deficit. They chipped away to tie things up and loaded the bases in the sixth inning when Coffel blasted a grand slam to give them an 8-4 lead they did not relinquish. Coffel has driven in 11 runs over the last five games and is on a seven-game hitting streak.
