AUSL Co-Pitchers of the Series: Bandits’ Sarah Willis and Taylor McQuillin combined for the only shutout of Series 2 in the AUSL season. Willis, a second-year pro from the University of Central Florida, started game three of the series for the Bandits. She scattered four hits across four scoreless innings with only a single walk. McQuillin, a veteran pitcher from the University of Arizona, closed the door for the save. In three innings, the lefty did not allow a hit or record a walk and struck out six batters.
AUSL Player of the Series: Hannah Flippen, a veteran infielder out of the University of Utah, hit .583 on the series as the Talons swept the Blaze in Chattanooga, Tenn. Flippen had seven hits with a hit-by-pitch, 10 RBI, and 6 runs scored. She went 4-5 in the final game of the series and hit a go-ahead three-run blast in the 7th to secure the series sweep. In her 12 at-bats, Flippen did not record a single strikeout.
