Megan Wiggins Signs with the AUSL for the 2025 Season
Outfielder Megan Wiggins has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
Wiggins brings over a decade of pro softball experience and sustained success. She has competed with AU since the inaugural season and enters her 15th year as a professional. She has finished in the top 20 on the leaderboard four times, the best finish of her AU career at the AUX competition in 2023 where she placed fifth overall. She has a Championship Season career batting average of .272, .355 on-base percentage, and .469 career slugging percentage in her 213 at-bats.
In the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) League, Wiggins was honored as the 2013 NPF Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year. She was the home run champion three times and a seven-time All-NPF selection. She also played five seasons in the top softball league in Japan.
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place in early 2025. A college draft will also be held later in the spring, allowing each team to fill out its final roster spots. Details regarding both drafts will be announced at a later date.
