Former UCLA star Maya Brady has declared for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Inaugural Draft. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.

Brady joins 81 other world-class softball athletes vying for a roster spot on one of the four teams. The AUSL Inaugural Draft will stream live on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on the ESPN App and the AUSL YouTube page.

Brady has been one of the most highly-touted players in college softball since she arrived at UCLA. A three-time First Team All-American, Brady finished her college career in 2024 with a career batting average of .384 and a .464 on-base percentage. Her 71 home runs and 246 RBIs are second in Bruins program history.

Her honors include back-to-back Pac-12 Player of the Year, 2020 Softball America Freshman of the Year, and two-time USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Finalist.

Brady has competed for Team USA for the past three years. Most recently, she led Team USA to a silver medal at the 2024 WBSC World Cup where she hit .375 with two doubles and five RBIs.

The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place on Jan. 29.
