Devyn Netz’s five-year journey as a Wildcat led her to a golden ticket to the pros on Tuesday night. She is the latest athlete to be selected for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) College Draft that will premiere May 3 on ESPNU at 9 p.m. ET.

Netz is an increasingly rare two-way player who can pitch and rake at the plate. She consistently started appearing for the Wildcats in the circle her sophomore year, but it was her junior season in 2023 that things took off in the box, too. In her breakout season, she started 30 games in the circle, 12 as the designated player, and six at first base. She hit .303 on the year with 13 home runs and authored a 16-16 record with a 3.88 ERA.

She was injured in 2024 and did not play, but has returned for her unfinished business this season. Netz became the 11th player in Arizona softball history to pitch a perfect game against BYU and, in that same game, launched a home run. She’s in a club of one for that feat.

She has an 18-5 record with a 2.19 ERA, paired with a .374 batting average, .754 slugging percentage, and 17 home runs.
