Delanie Wisz Signs for the Inaugural Season of the AUSL
Corner infielder Delanie Wisz has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
Wisz enters her fourth year as a pro. She had some of her best performances in 2024 with AU Pro Softball. Wisz finished third overall, at the AUX competition in Wichita, Kansas to earn a medal. She was a starter in all 12 games, batting .294 with 10 hits, including four home runs. In the Championship Season, she garnered 11th place with 13 hits in 45 at-bats and a .467 slugging percentage.
Since making her AU debut during the 2023 AUX competition, Wisz ranks fifth
among all players with 4,472 total leaderboard points between Championship Season
and AUX competition.
An All-American from UCLA, Wisz is currently an assistant coach at the University of Nevada.
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Allocation Draft, which will take place in early 2025. A college draft will also be held later in the spring, allowing each team to fill out its final roster spots. Details regarding both drafts will be announced at a later date.
