As the softball world eagerly anticipates the launch of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League this summer, the AUSL will demonstrate its commitment to the sport as well as the diversity of the game by sponsoring this weekend’s second annual HBCU Collegiate Softball Invitational.

Featuring 16 top HBCU softball programs (including defending champion Howard University) competing from February 14-16 at Turner Lake Sports Complex in Covington, Ga., the HBCU Collegiate Softball Invitational was created to spotlight HBCU sports and education by hosting a competitive softball event that signals the start of the college season.

AUSL stars Odicci Alexander (who will pitch for the Bandits in the AUSL) and Aliyah Andrews (outfielder for the Blaze) will be on hand for the tournament and participate in multiple activities, including throwing out ceremonial first pitches, joining the broadcast booth and interacting with the college players.
