Fan Guidelines and Code of Conduct

Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL)

2026 Season

The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable game day experience for all fans at AUSL games, stadiums, and facilities. We are also deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment that is free of discrimination and harassment. While we reserve full discretion to make judgment decisions about how we can best honor these commitments, these Fan Guidelines and Code of Conduct provide guidance regarding conduct that is inconsistent with these goals and detracts from the game day experience.

These guidelines supplement, and do not replace, the terms and conditions printed on your ticket. Your ticket governs assumption of risk, liability and release of claims, ticket use and resale, recording and image/likeness use, entry searches, and health protocols. The guidelines below focus on how we ask all guests to conduct themselves and what to expect on game day. They apply in the stadium and in all parking lots, facilities, and areas controlled by AUSL or its host venues; where a host venue’s rules are more restrictive, those rules apply.

Our Commitment to an Inclusive Environment

Every fan, player, official, and staff member deserves to be treated with respect. Harassment, abuse, or discrimination directed at any person, including on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic, will not be tolerated. This includes hate speech, slurs, threats, and unwelcome or harassing behavior of any kind.

If you experience or witness conduct that makes you or others feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it (see Reporting a Concern below). We will respond discreetly and promptly.

Bags and Prohibited Items
  • For the safety of all guests, AUSL operates a clear bag policy. Permitted bags include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than [12″ x 6″ x 12″] and small clutch bags no larger than [4.5″ x 6.5″]. Medically necessary items and diaper bags are permitted after inspection.
  • Re-entry is not permitted once a guest has exited the stadium, unless otherwise designated by venue staff.
  • All guests and their belongings are subject to search on entry.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, and other items that could be used as weapons (regardless of any permit or license)
  • Outside food or beverages, including alcohol
  • Glass containers, cans, and hard-sided coolers
  • Fireworks, lighters, matches, and any item capable of igniting a flame
  • Illegal substances
  • Laser pointers and noisemakers such as air horns and whistles
  • Drones and other unmanned aircraft
  • Selfie sticks, tripods, monopods, and professional camera equipment (large/detachable lenses) without prior credential approval
  • Poles, sticks, and items that could obstruct views or be used to cause harm
  • Any other item deemed by AUSL or venue staff to be dangerous or disruptive

At venues where lawn chairs are permitted, an exception to the bag policy will be made for bags specifically designed for transporting those chairs. All such items remain subject to security inspection.

Prohibited Conduct

All guests must maintain reasonable and appropriate behavior at all times. Guests engaged in prohibited conduct may be ejected from the facility and may be subject to arrest.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Any behavior or actions deemed offensive or potentially harmful by security, venue, or event personnel
  • Attempting to enter the field of play, dugouts, locker rooms, or other unauthorized areas without permission
  • Violation of venue or event policies
  • Standing on chairs or benches
  • Intoxicated and disorderly conduct
  • Aggressive behavior, fighting, or challenging others to fight
  • “Mooning” or exposing private body parts
  • Interference with or delay of the game or event
  • Violation of local, state, and federal laws and statutes
  • Igniting or displaying flames (e.g., lighters, matches) in the facility
  • Throwing, discharging, or launching any liquid, substance, or object
  • Willfully and maliciously disturbing another guest or employee with loud and unreasonable noise or behavior
  • Using profanity or offensive words that are likely to provoke a violent reaction from others
  • Taunting or using offensive language against players, officials, employees, or performers
  • Occupying a seat or remaining in an area for which the guest does not possess a valid ticket; guests shall provide their ticket upon request
  • Refusing to follow instructions from venue staff, including security personnel and ushers
  • Any behavior that AUSL, the facility or law enforcement deems it creates a disturbance or poses a risk to the safety of others
Alcohol
  • If available at any venue, alcohol is served only to guests who are 21 years of age or older with valid government-issued identification.
  • Guests may not bring alcohol into the facility, and may not remove alcohol purchased inside the facility.
  • AUSL and its concessionaires reserve the right to limit the number of alcoholic beverages sold per transaction and to refuse service to any guest.
  • Guests are encouraged to drink responsibly and to use a designated driver or rideshare.
  • Providing alcohol to anyone under 21 is prohibited and may result in ejection and arrest.
Smoke-Free, Vape-Free, and Cannabis-Free Facilities

Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside AUSL stadiums and facilities. The use of marijuana or cannabis products in any form is prohibited, regardless of state or local law.

Signs, Banners, Flags, and Promotional Items
  • Signs and banners must be in good taste, contribute to a positive and inclusive environment and may not contain commercial messages, offensive language or displays for the purposes of electioneering, campaigning, or advocating for or against any political party, candidate, or legislation.
  • Signs and banners may not obstruct the view of other guests, cover any stadium signage or advertising, or be affixed to any structure.
  • The distribution of any printed material, samples, or promotional items on AUSL premises requires prior written authorization.

Photography and Recording

Guests are welcome to take photographs and short videos for personal use. Live streaming or rebroadcasting game action is not permitted. (Commercial-use restrictions and image/likeness terms are set out on your ticket.)

Children and Minors

Children ages 2 and under may attend without a ticket provided they sit on the lap of a ticketed adult; all other guests must have a valid ticket regardless of age. Parents and guardians are responsible for the conduct and safety of accompanying minors at all times.

Service Animals

Service animals that are trained to perform a task for an individual with a disability are welcome. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted unless part of an officially sanctioned event. Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times.

Drones and Unmanned Aircraft

The operation of drones or other unmanned aircraft over or around AUSL stadiums and facilities is prohibited.

Soliciting and Sampling

Unauthorized solicitation, sampling, vending, and distribution of materials are prohibited on or around AUSL host venues. (Ticket resale and ticket-validity terms are set out on your ticket.)

Reporting a Concern

If you experience or witness behavior that violates these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe, please:

  • Notify the nearest usher, security officer, or event staff member

All reports will be handled as discreetly as possible.

Enforcement

AUSL and venue staff may take any action they deem appropriate to enforce these Fan Guidelines and Code of Conduct, including a verbal warning, ejection from the facility, revocation of ticket privileges (including season tickets), a ban from future events, and referral to law enforcement. Admission and ejection are also governed by the terms on your ticket. Enforcement decisions are made in AUSL’s sole discretion.

AUSL reserves the right to amend these guidelines at any time.
