Ali Newland is a 5-foot-4 professional softball utility player from Bremen, Georgia. She was acquired in the 5th Round of the 2026 Allocation Draft following a collegiate career at LSU.


Personal Life


Family: Her father played baseball at Young Harris College and Georgia, and her mother played softball at Young Harris.

Education: Earned a master’s degree from NC State in liberal studies.

Professional Experience


AUSL (2025)

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Accumulated 700 leaderboard points, registering one hit in seven at-bats over six games.

2025 AUSL Regular Season: Appeared in eight games for the Volts and the Blaze, compiling a .368 batting average overall with three doubles, one home run, and five RBIs for the Blaze.


Other Professional Experience (2024)

AFP: Competed for the Florida Vibe during the 2024 Association of Fastpitch Professionals season.

College Experience: LSU (2021–2024)


Career Statistics: Registered a .298 career batting average with 166 hits, 25 home runs, and 20 stolen bases.

Senior Year (2024): Batted .304 with nine home runs, 41 RBIs, and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in left field.

Junior Year (2023): Finished with a .329 batting average, six home runs, and 38 RBIs.


Awards & Honors

Conference Honors: Two-time All-SEC First Team (junior and senior).

Academic: Honored as the 2024 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned Third-Team Academic All-America recognition.
