Montana Fouts is a 6-foot-1 professional softball pitcher from Grayson, Kentucky. She was acquired in the 9th Round of the 2025 Inaugural Draft following a collegiate career at Alabama.

Personal Life

Hobbies: Enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, being outside and drinking coffee.

Background: Owns four dogs, two cows and 14 chickens. Lists Alabama head softball coach Patrick Murphy as a person who has made a difference in her life. One of her softball idols is Jennie Finch. Says meeting Hank Williams Jr. is a moment when she felt starstruck. Lists her mother as one of her idols. Played basketball in middle school. Proudest accomplishment is being a Christian. Has worn No. 14 since she was five years old. Also wears No. 14 because her father wore the number during his career.

Education: Graduated from Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Earned her master’s degree in sport hospitality from Alabama in 2023.

Family: Daughter of Tim Fouts and Stephanie Williams and step-daughter of Brian Williams. Has one brother and two sisters. Married Drew Williamson in September 2025.

Athletes Unlimited Softball League (2024–)

2026 AUSL All-Star Cup: Earned 110 leaderboard points in her second All-Star Cup. Did not appear in a game after missing most of the season with an injury.

2026 AUSL Postseason (Utah Talons): Fouts led the Talons to a Game Two victory over Chicago in the AUSL Championship with a complete-game effort, scattering eight hits and allowing one run while fashioning four strikeouts in a 6-1 verdict.

2026 AUSL Regular Season (Utah Talons): Fouts set league single-season records for wins (7), complete games (7), and strikeouts (63). She earned a spot on the All-AUSL Team after making 11 appearances in the circle, including a league-leading nine starts. She authored a 7-4 record with a 2.36 earned run average, pacing the AUSL by limiting opponents to a .200 batting average. She tied for third in the league with 13 strikeouts looking and ranked fourth in the AUSL for fewest runs (23), earned runs (21), and walks (10) allowed. On June 18, at Texas, Fouts established a new AUSL single-game record with 12 strikeouts in a complete-game victory. On June 26, during the AUSL Signature Series at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, she threw a complete-game shutout against Carolina, scattering four hits while tallying six strikeouts in a 3-0 win. On June 22, she held Oklahoma City to one run on four hits with five strikeouts in a complete-game win. On July 4, against Carolina, Fouts did not allow a hit over 2.0 innings of relief, earning a 5-4 victory. She also secured a win in relief against Chicago, throwing 3.0 innings with three strikeouts to help claim a three-game series sweep. On July 18, against Chicago, she pitched a season-long 7.2 innings while collecting 10 strikeouts.

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Registered 656 total leaderboard points. Led the league with eight appearances, three saves, and posted a 2.72 ERA with 12 strikeouts.

2025 AUSL Regular Season (Talons): Compiled a 2.71 ERA, a 3-2 record, and three saves over 31.0 innings. Threw the first complete-game shutout in AUSL Championship history.

2024 AUX Season: Tallied 856 leaderboard points, fashioning a 2-3 record with 20 strikeouts over 19.2 innings.

International Experience (2019–)

Team USA: Led Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2022 World Games with a 0.00 ERA. Guided the US to the 2019 WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup title. Member of 2026 United States Women’s National Team pool who was honored as Most Valuable Pitcher at International Cup after guiding Team USA to Gold medal. Logged 2-0 record with 16 strikeouts over 11.1 innings. Piloted United States to win over Japan in Gold medal game after throwing complete game shutout with one hit allowed and eight strikeouts. Also helped Team USA finish with perfect 6-0 record at WBSC World Cup Group Stage. Allowed three hits over 5.0 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts in victory over the Netherlands.

College Experience: Alabama (2019–2023)

Career Statistics: Authored a 100-32 record with a 1.66 ERA and 1,181 career strikeouts. Threw four perfect games and five no-hitters.

Graduate Year (2023): Consensus First-Team All-America selection who led NCAA Division I with 323 strikeouts in 230.0 innings.

Senior Year (2022): 24-8 record with a 2.10 ERA and 275 strikeouts.

Junior Year (2021): 2021 NFCA Pitcher of the Year after leading the country with 349 strikeouts. Posted a perfect game at the WCWS.

Freshman Year (2019): 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year with a 21-6 record and 193 strikeouts.
