Ries majored in mass media and minored in communication studies at MSU. She recently got her masters degree in educational leadership. She enjoys writing and sharing stories.

Ries most recently signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bandits in 2020. After graduating from MSU, she signed a one-year contract with the Texas Charge. She played for the Bandits in 2018 and Aussie Peppers in 2019.
