Personal: Clifton's proudest moment was playing four years at Oklahoma while learning from the coaching staff. Her hobbies include snowboarding, fishing, going to the lake, and spending time with friends and family. Her sister, Chloe, played softball at Seminole State College. Clifton lists Oklahoma softball coach Patty Gasso as a person who has made a difference in her life. If she were not playing softball, she would work in medical sales. As a child, she participated in basketball, skiing, snowboarding, riding four-wheelers, and honor choir. She received offers to play basketball in college. Clifton has worn No. 20 during her entire softball and basketball career. Her walk-up song is "Beast" by Migos.

2023 AUX Season: Clifton accumulated 442 leaderboard points, with 370 of those points coming from wins. She started in 9 out of 10 games and had a batting average of .154, with four hits in 26 at-bats. Clifton scored two runs and drove in two runs during the season. From June 18-21, she had a three-game hitting streak, going 4-for-10 with two runs scored. Her best performance of the season came on June 21 when she went 2-for-3 against Team Leach.


2022 Championship Season: Clifton accumulated 1,312 leaderboard points, which earned her 19th place in the league standings. She started 10 of 14 games, hitting six times, including three doubles, a triple, and two home runs. Additionally, she drove in five runs. During Week Four, she recorded three hits, including two doubles and a home run, and scored three runs against Team Chidester. In the Week Four opener against Team Jaquish, she also registered a two-run home run.


2022 AUX Season: Clifton finished in 24th place in the league standings with 836 leaderboard points. She started 11 of 12 games and posted a .242 batting average with eight hits, including two doubles and a triple. Additionally, she drew five walks. She posted at least one hit in each of the three games during the opening series, including a two-hit performance against Team Chidester on June 14. She also had two hits against Team Gibson to close Series Two.


2021 Championship Season: Clifton finished with 1,144 leaderboard points. She batted .310 with 13 hits, including six extra-base hits. She tied for fifth in the league with four doubles and tied for fourth with eight walks.


2020 Championship Season: Clifton opened her career with 910 leaderboard points. She tallied 10 hits in 43 at-bats while starting all 15 games. She tied for sixth in the league after being hit by a pitch twice and was fourth in the league with 11 strikeouts.


Other Professional Experience: Clifton was the No. 9 overall selection by the Chicago Bandits in the 2019 NPF Draft. During the 2019 campaign, she did not commit an error, recording 13 putouts and 10 assists.

At Oklahoma: Clifton was a four-year letter winner who started 249 of 254 career games from 2016-19. She had a .348 batting average with 37 home runs and 164 runs batted in. She also scored 234 runs for the Sooners while registering 228 hits, including 48 doubles and nine triples. She was a two-time NFCA All-America selection and a unanimous First-Team All-America pick as a senior. She also received Second-Team All-America notice during her sophomore season. Clifton was a four-time NFCA All-Region performer, including First-Team honors in 2016, 2017, and 2019. She was a four-time All-Big 12 Conference player, including First-Team recognition in 2019. She was named 2019 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Clifton finished her career as Oklahoma’s all-time leader by being hit by a pitch 65 times. She also ranked second in program history in career runs scored. She stands among Sooners’ career leaders in walks (164), on-base percentage (.513), doubles (48), games played (254), and stolen bases (55). She served as a team captain in 2019 while starting 62 games at second base. She set an Oklahoma single-season record during her sophomore year after being hit by a pitch 26 times. Clifton was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.
