The Quick Story: Pitcher Georgina Corrick earned her league-leading sixth win of the season after allowing one run over 4.0 innings as the Talons (15-4) earned their 10th win in the last 11 games, a 4-1 Athletes Unlimited Softball League victory over the Blaze (5-14) at Dumke Family Softball Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Key Moment: After the Blaze took an early 1-0 lead, the Talons scored four unanswered runs to secure the victory. The Talons took advantage of an error in the bottom of the first inning to tie the game before a sacrifice fly by infielder Tori Vidales gave them a 2-1 lead they did not relinquish.

- The Blaze initiated a coach’s challenge in the top of the third inning to review if catcher Kayla Kowalik was safe on an out call at first base … The call on the field was upheld and Kowalik was out to end the frame.
- The Blaze were eliminated from AUSL Championship contention with Wednesday night’s loss against the Talons.
