Rachel Garcia Signs with the AUSL for 2025 Season
Pitcher Rachel Garcia has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
Garcia has consistently finished at the top of the leaderboard throughout her AU career. In her debut season, she finished second on the leaderboard at AUX and eighth in the 2022 Championship Season. She returned the following year and won the 2023 AUX title then medaled again at the Championship Season, placing fourth overall.
She is the second player in any AU sport to earn a medal in three seasons. Her career stats with the league include a .238 batting average, .450 slugging percentage, and 3.15 ERA.
Garcia is a member of Team USA and a 2020 Tokyo Olympian. She competed for UCLA, where her list of accolades included: the Honda Award for Softball (2018, 2019, 2021), Honda Cup winner (2019, 2021), NFCA Division I Player of the Year (2018, 2021), and NFCA DI Pitcher of the Year (2019).
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place on January 29.
