Left-handed pitcher Taylor McQuillin has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.

McQuillin is coming off of a successful year with AU. She played in her first AUX competition in Wichita and authored the best finish of her AU career in fourth place. She set a new AUX single-season record by securing seven wins after leading the league with a 7-1 record. At the 2024 Championship Season, McQuillin appeared in 10 games with six starts fashioning a 3.03 earned run average. She ranked fourth in the league with 26 strikeouts and 34.2 innings pitched.

The lefty is a veteran who started her pro career in 2019 when she was the sixth overall selection at the National Pro Fastpitch draft. Additionally, she played for the Hitachi Sundivas of the Japan Diamond League in 2022 and 2023.

McQuillin was also a four-year letter winner for the Arizona Wildcats and represented Team Mexico at the 2020 Olympic Games.

The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place in early 2025. A college draft will also be held later in the spring, allowing each team to fill out its final roster spots. Details regarding both drafts will be announced at a later date.
