Pitcher Megan Faraimo has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
After a stellar college career at UCLA, Faraimo made her professional debut with AU Pro Softball in 2023 where she was the Rookie of the Year. Faraimo became only the second pitcher in league history to throw a no-hitter, allowing just one walk with six strikeouts in the 1-0 victory. She finished her first pro season with a 3-3 record and a 2.87 earned run average in 12 appearances.
In 2024, Faraimo made 13 appearances and threw 48 innings. She held opponents to a .220 average and recorded a 2.88 ERA. She was second in the league in strikeouts with 35.
Faraimo is a two-time Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year (2023, 2022) and three-time NFCA All-American (First Team – 2023, 2021; Second Team – 2022).
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place in early 2025. A college draft will also be held later in the spring, allowing each team to fill out its final roster spots. Details regarding both drafts will be announced at a later date.
