The Quick Story: The Talons scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Bandits to open Wednesday night’s Athletes Unlimited Softball League doubleheader at a sold-out Wilkins Stadium.
Key Moment: Trailing by a 4-1 margin heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, the Talons plated four runs to secure the comeback victory. After designated player Ally Shipman-Shrout closed the gap to 4-3 with a two-run home run to right field, catcher Sharlize Palacios completed the come-from-behind victory when she belted her first home run of the season, a two-run shot to center field.

- The Bandits, who were the designated visiting team for the first time this season, had their league-high four-game win streak snapped … It was their first setback since a 6-3 result against the Talons on June 8.

- The Talons have won four straight games after dropping 2-of-3 games against the Bandits to open the season … They also improved to 2-1 this season in games decided by two runs or less, including a 2-0 mark in one-run affairs.
- Eight different Talons, including seven of the nine hitters in the starting lineup, registered at least one hit in the victory, including a pair of hits from outfielder Jadelyn Allchin.
- The Talons were 5-for-9 with runners on base … In addition, six of the team’s nine hits came with two outs. Allchin, who posted her first multi-hit game of the season, has hit safely in three games in a row.
