After a stellar inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League season that saw her help lead the Bandits to the Championship series, Odicci Alexander-Bennett has even more exciting news to share. The standout right-handed pitcher, who is also competing in the 2025 AUSL All-Star Cup, took to TikTok to announce she’s expecting her first child in January, in a lighthearted video that showed her concealing her baby bump under her Bandits jersey.

The veteran pitcher posted a 4-2 record with a 3.54 ERA across 13 appearances, including three starts, in the inaugural AUSL season. In 31.2 innings pitched, she struck out 20 batters while helping guide the Bandits to the AUSL Championship presented by Sephora as runners-up.

The pregnancy announcement adds another exciting chapter to what has been a remarkable journey for Alexander-Bennett in professional softball. During her previous time in Athletes Unlimited’s Championship (now All-Star Cup) and AUX seasons, she established herself as one of the league’s premier players. Her accolades include a dominant 2023 Championship Season where she led the league with 1,994 leaderboard points and captured the Athletes Unlimited Softball title with a 12-3 record and 2.15 ERA.

She represented Team USA at the 2022 Canada Cup, helping the squad capture the gold medal, and also competed for Team USA at the 2022 Pan American Championships, where she contributed to another gold medal-winning performance. Her collegiate career at James Madison University was equally impressive, where she became a three-time NFCA All-America selection and earned CAA Player of the Year honors in both 2018 and 2019. During her five-year tenure with the Dukes, she compiled an 81-18 record with a 2.18 ERA while recording 712 strikeouts, throwing two no-hitters and a perfect game.

With this exciting announcement, Alexander-Bennett now joins the ranks of the many mothers who have competed in Athletes Unlimited’s leagues, including fellow softball athletes Danielle Gibson Whorton, Kelsey Stewart-Hunter, and Keilani Ricketts. Athletes Unlimited supports its athletes through its pregnancy and parental leave policy, which supports and accommodates players who are pregnant or breastfeeding. The league places agency in the hands of the players, entitling players who are pregnant to compete during the season if they wish to and are cleared to do so by a medical professional.
