The Quick Story: The Bandits posted the first shutout and the first run-rule victory in Athletes Unlimited Softball League history after securing an 8-0 victory over the Talons in five innings to close out their three-game series on Tuesday night at Parkway Bank Sports Complex.
Key Moment: Playing in front of a sell-out crowd for the third consecutive game, the Bandits took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on a solo home run by outfielder Bubba Nickles-Camarena. The Bandits added three more runs in the second inning before securing the victory with a four-run outburst in the fifth inning.
Talons Notes
- The Talons initiated a coach’s challenge on a fielder’s choice by outfielder Jadelyn Allchin in the top of the third inning … The challenge was unsuccessful after the call was upheld at third base.
- The Talons left 20 runners on base in the three-game series against the Bandits, which are tied for the most in the league with the Blaze.
- Three different players recorded a hit in the loss for the Talons … Infielder Sydney Romero ran her hitting streak to three games after going 1-for-2 with a single in the third inning.

- Five of the Bandits’ eight hits came with runners on base … In addition, they were 5-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
- Pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl upped her record to 2-0 after retiring all three batters she faced in the fifth inning … Starting pitcher Odicci Alexander threw 2.0 perfect innings in her first start of the season.
- Rookie pitcher Emiley Kennedy made her professional debut in Tuesday night’s win, allowing three hits over 2.0 innings with two strikeouts and one walk.
- Outfielder Bubba Nickles-Camarena hit her second home run in as many games to ignite the Bandits’ offense … The former UCLA product also drew two walks and closed the series by reaching base safely in four of her final five plate appearances.
- Outfielder Morgan Zerkle and infielder Erin Coffel failed to get a hit for the first time in three games this season.
- Rookie Devyn Netz authored the first multi-hit game of her professional career after going 2-for-3 in the victory … She doubled to center field in the second inning before adding an infield single in the third frame.
- Catcher Jordan Roberts belted her first home run of the season down the left field line in the second inning to give the Bandits a 4-0 advantage.
