All was quiet at the end of the day on Tuesday in the media workroom at MLB Winter Meetings as reporters waited for news of impending contracts, trades, and news.
Talons pitcher Montana Fouts brought the heat and sound of a fastball popping in catcher Sharlize Palacios’s glove as she threw a live bullpen in the center of the conference room.
MLB Network was there with a camera crew alongside former player and commentator Harold Reynolds, who interviewed Fouts and Palacios as they pitched.
Fouts replied to the media coverage on X:
“Have to get it in somehow! Thanks to MLB and Mr. Reynolds for letting me put the arm in a circle!”
The segment with Reynolds and the battery pair will air on MLB Network on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, players and the league commissioner, Kim Ng, spoke at press events and celebrated the debut season.
