Corner infielder Kelsey Stewart-Hunter has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
Stewart-Hunter has consistently been one of the top finishers on the leaderboard throughout her AU career. In the Championship Season, she ranked in the top 15 three years including a third-place medal in 2021. Most recently, Stewart-Hunter placed 13th on the final leaderboard at the 2024 Championship Season where she started in all 15 games and was one of the winningest athletes with an 11-4 record.
She is a product of the University of Florida where she was a two-time National Champion (2014, 2015) and also a long-time member of Team USA. She competed for the red, white and blue from 2014 to 2021 culminating in a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place in early 2025. A college draft will also be held later in the spring, allowing each team to fill out its final roster spots. Details regarding both drafts will be announced at a later date.
