Pitcher Keilani Ricketts has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
Ricketts has had a decorated collegiate and professional career. As an Oklahoma Sooner, she was a two-time USA Softball Collegiate Softball Player of the Year and four-time NFCA All-American. She was the starting pitcher on the 2013 National Championship team and was named the Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player.
She joined Team USA as a college athlete and competed internationally for the red, white, and blue. Ricketts collected gold medals at the Japan Cup (2018, 2019), Pan American Games (2011, 2019), WBSC World Championship (2018), USA Softball International Cup (2012, 2018), and a silver medal at the 2012 WBSC World Championship.
Ricketts made her league debut at the 2024 AUX season in Wichita, Kansas where she made four starts and threw 20.0 innings. She recorded a 2.75 ERA and struck out 11 batters.
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place on January 29.
