The Quick Story: Pitcher Georgina Corrick tossed her second straight complete game, while seven different players tallied at least one hit as Team Ricketts (1-1) downed Team Coffel (0-2) by a 6-1 margin in the first half of Saturday’s Athletes Unlimited Softball League All-Star Cup doubleheader at Parkway Bank Sports Complex.
Key Moment: Outfielder Bella Dayton ignited a three-run third inning for Team Ricketts by belting a solo home run off the scoreboard in right-center field. After Team Coffel trimmed the margin to 3-1 in the bottom of the frame, middle infielder Anissa Urtez launched a three-run homer in the sixth inning to increase the cushion to 6-1. Meanwhile, Corrick gave up just one hit in the final three frames to nail down the victory.
Leaderboard Update: Pitcher Keilani Ricketts jumped four spots into third place on the leaderboard with 1,056 points, while Corrick vaulted 20 places into the eighth slot with 890 points.
