Key Moment: Team Kowalik erupted for six runs on four hits in the top of the second inning to take a 7-2 lead it did not relinquish. Outfielder Amanda Lorenz opened the outburst by drawing a bases-loaded walk before a single by catcher Kayla Kowalik gave her squad a 3-2 advantage. Coffel followed with her second home run of the All-Star Cup, a grand slam to center field that ran the margin to 7-2.
Leaderboard Update: Kowalik holds a 218-point advantage over pitcher Rachel Garcia for the top spot on the leaderboard after becoming the first player in the AUSL with 1,000 points. Coffel, meanwhile, rose into third place in the league standings following her 250-point performance.
