Catcher Taylor Edwards has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.

Edwards has been a pro since 2014 and competed in five Championship Seasons. She has an AU career batting average of .237 and a .922 fielding percentage. Most recently, Edwards registered a 17th-place finish on the final leaderboard. She was second in the league with three Defensive MVP awards in 2024.

She helped Team USA win Gold medals at the WBSC World Championship and USA Softball International Cup events in 2018 and served as an alternate for Team USA during 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

A four-year starter at Nebraska from 2011-14, Edwards finished her career with 17 Huskers program records.

The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place on January 29th.
