With a break in games until July 7 and now at the halfway point in the AUSL season, it’s time for a check-in on the top pitchers in the league.

The data set for pitchers is small, with just over 80 innings for each team, but these are four arms making an early case for Pitcher of the Year

1. Georgina Corrick, Talons

Georgina Corrick joined the Talons later in the season, but she sure made up for missed time quickly. In the latest four-game series against the Volts, she picked up two wins and her first save of the year. Most notably, she threw the first complete game shutout in league history on June 21. She stands with a league-best 1.62 ERA and has held opponents to a .159 average. She’s only pitched 13.0 innings so far, so time will test Corrick through the back half of the year.

2. Rachel Garcia, Volts

When it comes to overall impact, Rachel Garcia has probably packed the biggest punch out of the group. She’s thrown the most innings (35.1) and strikeouts (31), and is the only pitcher with two complete games. What’s especially impressive is that in her volume of innings, she’s only given up a single home run. Garcia is also the only athlete to earn Pitcher of the Series honors twice this season. Her ERA stands at 3.17, but it’s safe to say Garcia is carrying the load for the Volts.

3. Lexi Kilfoyl, Bandits

Another pitcher carrying a bulk of the innings for her team and logging stellar numbers is Lexi Kilfoyl. She’s the reigning Rookie of the Year of the All-Star Cup (previously the AU Pro Softball Championship Season) for good reason. Kilfoyl’s continued transition to the pro level has been nothing but smooth. She and Corrick are the only pitchers with a 3-0 record. In her 23.2 innings, she’s kept walks at a minimum, forcing hitters to put the ball in play. Kilfoyl has had four impressive starts, along with seven total appearances for the Bandits, recording a 2.66 ERA.

4. Odicci Alexander, Bandits

Odicci Alexander has showcased a ton of potential in how she impacts the Bandits’ pitching staff. She’s only made one start and has instead been used in a handful of innings in five games. Her longest outing was June 11, where she tossed 5.0 scoreless innings with two hits. All of her other appearances have been four innings or less. Her WHIP (Walks + Hits Per Inning Pitched) is the best in the league at 1.21.

The 2025 AUSL resumes on July 7 with a three-day doubleheader in Rosemont, Illinois. Tickets are on sale now.
