2024 Champion Amanda Lorenz Signs with the AUSL for 2025 Season
Outfielder Amanda Lorenz has signed with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) for its inaugural season. The AUSL is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing in a traditional format. The league will begin play this summer.
Lorenz is the reigning champion of the 2024 Championship Season. In 51 at-bats, Lorenz recorded 19 hits and tied Aubrey Leach for a league-leading .373 batting average. She posted a league-leading .569 slugging percentage on the season, blasting three home runs and nine RBIs.
She has consistently been a top performer, finishing in the top 15 at AUX and three other Championship Seasons. In 2024, Lorenz led the league in batting average (.478) and on-base percentage (.579). She reached base safely in 14-of-15 games with a league-high 22 hits.
Lorenz is a current member of Team USA, most recently helping the team to a silver medal at the 2024 WBSC World Cup. She graduated from the University of Florida where she was a four-time All-American.
The general managers of the four teams will assemble the inaugural rosters at the AUSL Inaugural Draft, which will take place on January 29.
