The Athletes Unlimited Softball League Allocation Draft is open to players who have actively opted in to be considered for selection to an AUSL roster. The eligible player pool includes players from professional leagues around the world, other professional teams, and the AUSL 2025 Reserve Pool. The pool of available athletes can be found here.

The Selection Order of the Allocation Draft will be as follows:

The Expansion Team that lost the coin toss for the Expansion Draft shall have the No. 1 pick of the Allocation Draft, with the other Expansion Team immediately following with the No. 2 pick.

The No. 3 pick of the Allocation Draft shall go to the Original Team that lost the most players in the Expansion Draft.

The No. 4 pick of the Allocation Draft shall go to the Original Team that lost the 2nd most players in the Expansion Draft.

The No. 5 pick of the Allocation Draft shall go to the Original Team that lost the 3rd most players in the Expansion Draft.

The No. 6 pick of the Allocation Draft shall go to the Original Team that lost the fewest players in the Expansion Draft.

If multiple Original Teams have lost the same number of players in the Expansion Draft, the Original Team that lost the most Total WAR (Wins Above Replacement) shall receive the earlier selection.

In each subsequent round of the Allocation Draft, the two Expansion teams shall alternate between the No. 1 and No. 2 picks of each round.

The remainder of the order shall remain constant for the remainder of the Allocation Draft.

Following the Allocation Draft, each team will also select at least two NCAA players during the College Draft in the spring.
