Jaydyn Goodwin

Jaydyn Goodwin is a 5-foot-3 professional softball utility player from Paris, Kentucky. She was acquired as an Available Player following a collegiate career at Georgia.

Personal Life

Family: Daughter of Jana and Jay Goodwin. One of four children in her family. Her sister, Jaycee, played softball at Georgia State.

Education: Majored in communication studies at Georgia.

Background: Two-sport athlete in high school who also played basketball. Competed in basketball as a child growing up. Lists Georgia softball coach Tony Baldwin as a person who has made a difference in her life. Proudest accomplishments are earning First-Team All-SEC honors and getting baptized.

Hobbies: Enjoys spending time outdoors and crafts. Has a dog named Nola.

College Experience: Georgia (2023–2026)

Career Statistics: Four-year letter winner at Georgia who started 203-of-234 games for the Bulldogs. Compiled a .336 batting average with 33 home runs, 136 RBIs, and 221 career hits. Tied for sixth in program history with 49 career doubles. One of three players in school history to hit two triples in a single game, accomplishing the feat against Buffalo on February 20, 2025.

Senior Year (2026): Bulldogs’ second-leading hitter with a .404 average while starting all 61 games. Paced the team with 80 hits, including 16 doubles, three triples, and 11 home runs. Tied for second on the team with 45 RBIs. Registered a career-high four hits against No. 1 Texas A&M on April 3, 2026, and collected her 200th career hit against No. 1 Oklahoma on April 26, 2026.

Junior Year (2025): Earned a starting assignment in all 58 games. Led the Bulldogs with 65 hits and 46 runs scored, contributing a team-best 13 doubles and 12 home runs. Fashioned a .344 average with 122 total bases, a .646 slugging percentage, and struck out just 11 times in 189 at-bats. Provided the eventual game-winning run by belting a home run in the final game of the NCAA Durham Regional against Duke.

Sophomore Year (2024): Appeared in 58 games with 36 starts. Totaled a .299 average with 38 hits, including 10 doubles, one triple, and three home runs, while driving in 27 runs.

Freshman Year (2023): Made 42 starts in 51 games during her freshman season, including 38 starts in left field. Boasted a .274 average as a rookie with 34 hits, including eight doubles and seven home runs.

Awards & Honors

All-Region: First-Team NFCA All-South Region selection as a senior, and claimed Second-Team status as a junior.

Conference Honors: First-Team All-Southeastern Conference selection as a senior.
