Ally Carda is a 5-foot-8 professional softball pitcher from Elk Grove, California. She was acquired in the 1st Round of the 2026 Allocation Draft following a collegiate career at UCLA.

Personal Life

Family: Daughter of Heather and Jim Carda. Has two brothers, Eric and Jack.

Education: Majored in sociology at UCLA.

Professional Experience

Other Professional Experience (2015–2025)

NPF & WPF: Selected by the Dallas Charge in the sixth round of the 2015 NPF Draft. Played for the Chicago Bandits in 2018 and 2019. Played for the USSSA Pride during the 2023 WPF campaign, registering a league-high 2.27 ERA with 47 strikeouts.

Japan Diamond League: Has played for Honda Reverta since 2019. Collected an 8-1 record with 84 strikeouts in 15 appearances during the 2025 campaign. Ranked fourth in the league with a 1.55 ERA in 2023.

International Experience (2010–2026)

Team USA: Member of the 2026 United States Women’s National Team pool. Helped Team USA win a Silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, posting a 1.75 ERA with 11 strikeouts over 8.0 innings. Guided the U.S. to Gold medals at the 2022 and 2025 World Games, allowing no runs in 4.0 innings. Led Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games, earning a spot on the All-Pan Am Team with a 0.00 ERA over 13.0 innings. Has also won Gold at the 2016 WBSC Women’s World Championship and 2019 Japan Cup.

College Experience: UCLA (2012–2015)

Carda was an outstanding two-way player at UCLA who appeared in 229 total games from 2012-15. Led the Bruins to a 2015 NCAA Women’s College World Series appearance.

Pitching Statistics: Accrued a 100-28 career record. Threw 787.1 career innings (third in program history) and tallied 825 career strikeouts (fifth in program history). Threw three no-hitters during her college career.

Offensive Statistics: Posted a .343 career batting average with 43 home runs and 180 RBIs. Tallied 220 career hits and drew 142 walks (third on the Bruins’ all-time chart).

Senior Year (2015): Collected a 32-8 record with a 2.62 ERA and 281 strikeouts over 240.0 innings. Led the Pac-12 in wins, innings, and appearances.

Awards & Honors

All-America: Two-time NFCA First-Team All-America selection.

Conference Honors: Three-time First-Team All-Pac-12 Conference honoree who earned Player of the Year accolades as a junior and senior.

National Honors: Top-3 Finalist for the 2014 USA Softball Player of the Year award.
