The Volts have acquired outfielder Ciara Briggs from the Blaze in exchange for outfielder McKenzie Clark in the first trade in Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) history.
Briggs appeared in 10 games with five starts for the Blaze. She went 1-for-3 with a run scored in the squad’s 11-3 loss against the Bandits on Saturday evening.
Clark, a starter in all 10 games for the Volts this season, has belted two home runs with five runs batted in. The former Clemson University product has also scored five runs.
