Pitcher Taylor Tinsley soared for the Utah Talons (6-3) in her professional debut, throwing a complete game shutout against the Texas Volts (1-7) on Saturday night.

She joined the team just over a week ago after walking across the stage for her UCLA graduation and continued the reputation of excellence she built as a Bruin. She scattered scattered eight hits and posted three strikeouts en route to the Talons 8-0 victory and sweep of the Volts.

It was the fifth complete game shutout in Athletes Unlimited Softball League regular season history, and third so far this season. Tinsley followed fashion of Montana Fouts and Megan Faraimo who went the distance for the Talons the two games prior in the series.

The Talons’ pitching staff has recorded five consecutive complete game efforts and six total on the year. so far. Offensively they excelled too, putting up a season-high 12 hits, including three extra-base hits.

UCLA Softball on X was quick to remind fans that Tinsley is no stranger to making incredible debuts.

The Talons head to Oklahoma City next to begin a two-game stint on Monday, June 22 vs the Spark.
