Aliyah Andrews returned to her home state of Florida on Friday, taking the mound at Tropicana Field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays’ matchup versus the San Diego Padres. The Utah Talons outfielder and Oldsmar, Florida native delivered the pitch to catcher Kenny Piper before the Rays took on the Padres on Aug. 28.
Andrews starred collegiately at LSU before beginning her professional career and helped the Talons capture its second straight AUSL championship title in July.
