Delanie Wisz is a 5-foot-6 professional softball corner infielder from Orcutt, California. She was acquired in the 7th Round of the 2026 Expansion Draft following a collegiate career at Loyola Marymount and UCLA.

Personal Life

Career: Served as an assistant softball coach at Nevada (2024-25) and San Diego State (2022-23). Works as a real estate agent in California.

Background: Has worn No. 97 since she was a bat girl for her older sister’s team.

Family: Sister, Stevie, played softball at UCLA from 2016-19 and helped the Bruins win the NCAA title as a senior.

2026 AUSL Regular Season (Chicago Bandits): Wisz was the Spark's fourth-leading hitter with a .295 average, tying for fifth in the AUSL with seven home runs and 89 total plate appearances. She also tallied 51 total bases, ranking fifth in the league, and held a share of eighth place on the AUSL chart with 23 hits, including five doubles and one triple. She contributed 14 runs while driving in 17, authoring a .654 slugging percentage, good for eighth in the AUSL. Wisz totaled five multi-hit efforts during the season, including a season-high three hits against Chicago on June 13, when she went 3-for-3 with two home runs and two runs scored. She hit safely in seven straight games from June 28 to July 11, posting a .409 average (9-for-22) during that stretch with two home runs and seven runs batted in. Wisz recorded back-to-back two-hit games against Carolina on July 1 and Portland on July 4. She closed out the season by going 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and two runs batted in at Carolina during the series opener on July 18.

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Posted a 10th-place finish with 990 leaderboard points. Fourth in the league with a .640 slugging percentage, hitting .320 with two home runs and four RBIs.

2025 AUSL Regular Season (Bandits): Started all 24 games, collecting a .284 batting average with three home runs and 11 RBIs. Tied for the AUSL lead with 15 walks.

2024 Championship Season: Fashioned an 11th-place effort with 1,420 leaderboard points. Batted .289 with 13 hits, two home runs, and 10 RBIs.

2024 AUX Season: Secured third place on the final leaderboard with 1,288 points to collect medalist honors for the first time. Led the league by drawing 10 walks and hit .294 with four home runs.

2023 Championship Season: Accumulated 996 leaderboard points and was named to the AU Pro Softball All-Defensive Team. Batted .229 with two home runs.

2023 AUX Season: Secured 768 leaderboard points, hitting .304 with two home runs in nine games.

Other Professional Experience (2022)

WPF: Played for the USSSA Pride after being selected No. 8 overall in the WPF Draft. Batted .316 with seven home runs and 20 RBIs.

College Experience: Loyola Marymount & UCLA (2018–2022)

Career Statistics: Compiled a .330 career batting average with 57 home runs and 191 RBIs over 251 games.

UCLA (2020-2022): Led the Bruins to a pair of NCAA College World Series appearances. Named to the All-Pac-12 First Team as a fifth-year senior after leading UCLA in batting average (.405), home runs (16), and RBIs (63).

Loyola Marymount (2018-2019): Hit a team-high 13 home runs as a freshman and tied for the team lead with 34 RBIs as a sophomore.
