Personal: Ocasio’s favorite team is the New York Yankees. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Maya, and also likes sewing, cooking, traveling, creating content, and spending time with her family and friends. As a child, Ocasio was involved in Girl Scouts as well as ballet, ice skating, cheerleading, and theatre. Her brother played football at New Mexico, and her grandfather was an All-Army selection in softball. She has worn No. 8 since her travel softball days, when she switched numbers because a teammate already wore No. 4.

2024 Championship Season: Ocasio secured medalist honors for the second time in her Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball career, finishing in third place with 1,606 leaderboard points. She became the fourth athlete in AU Pro Softball history to win multiple career medals. Ocasio compiled 1,150 win points, ranking fifth in the 61-player field. She also shared fifth place in the league with 316 stat points, while tying for seventh with 140 MVP points. Ocasio was a three-time Game MVP honoree and was selected to the AU Pro Softball All-Defensive Team. She served as a team captain during Week Five. Ocasio appeared in 11 games with six starts in the circle, posting a 5-2 record and ranking second in the league with a 2.51 earned run average. She compiled 22 strikeouts over 39.0 innings. As a hitter, she did not record a hit in seven at-bats. She claimed her first win of the season with 2.1 scoreless innings of relief against Team McQuillin in the Week Two opener. Ocasio threw a season-high 5.0 innings in an August 3 triumph against Team Kilfoyl, earning MVP 1 recognition. She conceded just one hit and struck out two in Team Lorenz’s 2-0 victory. Ocasio collected another win over Team McQuillin on August 10, posting three strikeouts over 4.0 innings. On August 17, she earned MVP 1 status after matching her season high with 5.0 innings against Team Kilfoyl, scattering four hits and not allowing a run while posting two strikeouts. Ocasio also received MVP 3 commendation after throwing 4.0 scoreless innings against Team Corrick in the Week Five opener. She posted nine games with 100 or more leaderboard points.


2024 AUX Season: Ocasio accumulated 756 leaderboard points during the third Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball AUX campaign. She appeared in six games in the circle with three starts and posted a 2-2 record with a 5.06 earned run average. Ocasio notched 10 strikeouts over 18.0 innings. She secured a win in relief against Team Edwards on June 16 after conceding two runs on four hits in 3.0 innings. She also notched a win against Team Alo on June 17, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing just one earned run. However, she suffered a loss against Team Alo on June 19 after giving up one run on two hits in 2.0 innings. Ocasio struck out a season-high four batters on June 13 against Team Warren. As a hitter, she went 1-for-7 in five games with a walk and a run scored.


2023 Championship Season: Ocasio finished in a three-way tie for 16th place with Megan Wiggins and Taylor McQuillin after accruing 1,392 leaderboard points. Ocasio ranked ninth in the league with 1,140 win points. She tied for second in the league with two saves while posting a 2-4 record in nine appearances in the circle, including four starts. Ocasio fashioned a 2.84 earned run average with seven strikeouts over 22.0 innings. She earned MVP 1 distinction after scattering five hits over 5.0 innings in an August 5 victory over Team Faraimo. Ocasio claimed victory in relief against Team Urtez on August 19, giving up one run on three hits over 3.1 innings. She earned a save against Team Garcia on August 6 and against Team Alexander on August 27. Ocasio made one appearance as a hitter, going 1-for-2 with a walk against Team Rhodes on July 31.


2023 AUX Season: Ocasio secured 392 leaderboard points, with 370 win points. She had a record of 0-1 in the circle, with 11 strikeouts in 14.1 innings pitched. Ocasio made six appearances, including three starts. Her longest outing was 3.2 innings in her first start against Team Garcia, where she recorded a season-best five strikeouts. At the plate, she had three hits in 13 at-bats, including a two-hit performance against Team Filler.


2022 Championship Season: Ocasio earned 1,346 leaderboard points. She made seven appearances in the circle with four starts and had a 3.40 earned run average, which was sixth in the league. Ocasio had a 2-2 record in 23.1 innings pitched and tallied 21 strikeouts, which was seventh in the league. She threw a season-high 5.0 innings against Team Mulipola on August 5th with seven strikeouts and tallied seven strikeouts over 4.0 innings in relief against Team Eberle on July 30th. Ocasio also batted .353 with one home run and four runs scored. She had a five-game hitting streak to begin the season, including a home run in the season opener against Team Zerkle. Ocasio recorded her lone double of the season against Team McCleney on August 20.


2022 AUX Season:  Ocasio accrued 740 leaderboard points, finishing in a tie for 31st place in the league standings. She played at right field, second base, and pitcher positions. Ocasio tallied two hits and drew three walks at the plate while appearing in 11 games with seven starts. She made eight appearances in the circle, including four starts, and posted a 0-2 record with one save and 4.87 earned run average. Ocasio tallied 10 strikeouts in 23.0 innings and threw a season-high 5.0 innings against Team Eberle on June 13. She registered a season-high three strikeouts against Team Eberle on June 15 in the Series One finale.


2021 Championship Season: Ocasio earned the Championship title after amassing 2,096 leaderboard points. She also paced the league with 736 stat points and 320 MVP points. Ocasio was a member of the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball All-Defensive Team. She tied for the league lead with 13 appearances, 10 games started, and two complete games. Ocasio was second in Athletes Unlimited with a 2.32 earned run average. She authored a league-high six victories while posting a 6-5 record in 66.0 innings. Ocasio paced AU with 55 strikeouts and conceded 25 runs, including 22 earned runs. She hit .233 in 13 games with seven hits and six runs scored. Ocasio was one of eight players to hit a triple and also went 1-for-2 in stolen base attempts.


2020 Championship Season: Ocasio placed 11th on the leaderboard after compiling 1,584 points during the inaugural season. She ranked second in Athletes Unlimited with 240 MVP points, while her 464 stat points were good for 10th place. Ocasio made 10 appearances in the circle with seven starts and fashioned a 3.57 earned run average, which was fourth in the league. She tied for second in the circuit with five victories after posting a 5-1 record. Ocasio was one of four players to pitch a complete game and gave up 18 earned runs over 35.0 innings. She struck out 14 hitters while allowing just nine walks and tied for the league lead with two triples.


International Experience: Ocasio has been a member of the Puerto Rico National Team since 2013. In the 2015 Pan American Games, she posted a 3-1 record in five games and also had an impressive batting average of 6-for-16 (.375) with five runs batted in and four runs scored, leading Puerto Rico to a Bronze medal. She was also a part of the 2019 Puerto Rico team that won a Bronze medal at the Pan American Games. In the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, Ocasio hit the game-winning home run in the eighth inning against Mexico, leading Puerto Rico to a Gold medal. She also competed for Puerto Rico at The 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, where she batted .357 (5-for-14) over five games, including three extra-base hits, with four runs scored. Ocasio was ranked third in the tournament field with a .786 slugging percentage and also posted a 3-0 record in the circle with a 0.40 earned run average in 17.2 innings, registering 15 strikeouts, including nine strikeouts against Mexico in a complete game victory. She guided Puerto Rico to a Gold medal at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games and was named to Puerto Rico's roster for the 2023 WBSC World Cup Qualifier in Valencia, Spain. She authored a 2-0 record with a 1.00 earned run average and 16 strikeouts over 14.0 innings and batted .333 (5-for-15) with five runs scored. Ocasio was also a member of Puerto Rico's roster for the 2023 Pan American Games, where she had an impressive record of 2-0 with a 0.76 earned run average and 23 strikeouts over 18.1 innings.  


Other Professional Experience: Ocasio was the No. 10 overall selection in the 2018 NPF Draft by the Chicago Bandits. She posted 17 strikeouts in 22 innings with a 1.27 earned run average during her rookie season while helping the Bandits reach the NPF Championship. Ocasio earned All-NPF distinction in 2019 after authoring a 0.89 earned run average with 29 strikeouts in 39.1 innings.

At Florida: Ocasio was a four-year letter winner who played in 202 games with 158 starts from 2015-18 for the Florida Gators. She led the Gators to the 2015 NCAA title and compiled a 1.41 career earned run average while authoring a 71-14 career record with 10 saves. She accrued 19 career shutouts, which are tied for ninth on Gators’ all-time list. Ocasio also held opposing batters to a .192 career batting average. She made 119 appearances with 68 starts in the circle and posted 20 or more wins as a pitcher twice, including 23 victories during her senior season. Ocasio struck out 549 hitters in 516.0 innings and posted a 0.77 earned run average as a sophomore, the fifth-best mark in Florida history. She tied the program record with six saves in 2016 and threw three career no-hitters, including two during her senior campaign. Ocasio fashioned a .278 career batting average with 10 home runs and 73 runs batted in. She tied for sixth in program history with eight career triples. Ocasio was a two-time NFCA All-America selection and received NFCA All-Region distinction all four years. She earned All-Southeastern Conference honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior and was an SEC All-Freshman Team honoree in 2015. Ocasio was a member of the 2017 Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team.
