The Blaze have completed their roster for the 2025 season after signing outfielder Korbe Otis.
The Blaze selected the Florida Gators outfielder with their second pick in the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League College Draft.
Otis’ collegiate career came to an end in her second trip to the Women’s College World Series, falling to Tennessee on Friday. She creates extended at-bats, consistently finding her way on base with a flair for power. Otis hit in the five-hole for the Gators and had a career-high slugging percentage of .703 in 2024. She also gets on base by drawing walks; Otis had 50 or more walks in back-to-back seasons at Florida.
She was the 2025 Division I Elite 90 winner, given to the player with the highest GPA at the WCWS. The SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year had a 4.0 in biology and was Florida’s fifth all-time honoree and first for softball.
The Blaze open the season on June 7 vs. the Volts in Wichita, Kansas. Tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now.
