Personal: Kilfoyl is the daughter of Darin and Christine Kilfoyl and one of five siblings. Her brother, also named Darin, played baseball at St. Johns River State College from 2017 to 2019 before continuing his career at the University of North Florida from 2020 to 2022. Her youngest brother, Andrew, played football at the University of South Florida from 2021 to 2024 and transferred to Bowling Green for the 2025 season. She also has an older half-brother named Kasey and an older half-sister named Kaela. During her high school career, Kilfoyl was a two-time Florida Gatorade Player of the Year and helped lead Academy of the Lakes to back-to-back state championships in 2018 and 2019. As a child, she was involved in a wide range of activities, including dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and Girl Scouts. She once dreamed of becoming a professional cheerleader. Kilfoyl enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, participating in outdoor activities, and traveling. She credits her pitching coach, Kaci-Clark Zerbe, as someone who has had a meaningful impact on her life. She earned her master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Oklahoma State University, along with a general business certificate. Kilfoyl chose to wear jersey No. 8 because it was her number at Oklahoma State and also her father’s racing number.
2024 Championship Season: Kilfoyl was honored as the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball Rookie of the Year after finishing in second place with 1,734 leaderboard points. She paced the league with 514 stat points and 300 MVP points, collecting a league-high six Game MVP awards. Kilfoyl also compiled 920 win points and led the league by accruing 200 or more points in a game six times, the second-highest total in AU Pro Softball history. She authored a 6-6 record in four weeks as a team captain, appearing in 12 games with nine starts in the circle. Kilfoyl led the league with seven wins and a 2.23 earned run average. She also registered a league-high 39 strikeouts and 59.2 innings pitched, totaling a league-best five complete games. Kilfoyl joined Cat Osterman as the only pitchers in league history with multiple shutouts in a season. She opened the season by earning Game MVP accolades in her first three appearances. Kilfoyl authored back-to-back complete game efforts during Week One, allowing one run on six hits with four strikeouts in a season-opening victory over Team Alexander, collecting MVP 1 recognition. She closed Week One with her first professional shutout, scattering four hits with four strikeouts in a win over Team Svekis to receive MVP 1 honors. Kilfoyl opened Week Two with five strikeouts over 5.0 innings in an MVP 2 performance against Team Wallace. She earned a complete game victory over Team McQuillin on August 7 after posting a season-high six strikeouts. She spun her second shutout of the season in the Week Four finale against Team Faraimo, giving up just three hits with five strikeouts. Kilfoyl ended the season with back-to-back MVP 1 awards, throwing 4.0 innings of relief against Team Corrick, allowing just two hits en route to victory. She hurled a complete game victory against Team Ocasio in the season finale, posting five strikeouts. Kilfoyl was one of 15 players selected in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball College Draft.
International Experience: One of three alternates named to the Team USA roster for the 2025 World Games. Kilfoyl appeared in two games for Team USA during the 2024 Japan All-Star Series. She competed for the United States U-19 National Team in both 2017 and 2019, guiding Team USA to a pair of Gold medals at the WBSC U-19 World Cups in those years. She went 2-0 in the circle with eight strikeouts over 7.1 innings during the 2019 WBSC U-19 World Cup. Additionally, she helped the United States secure a Bronze medal at the 2019 USA Softball International Cup, posting a 1-0 record with seven strikeouts and a 0.77 earned run average over 9.0 innings. Kilfoyl made two appearances during the World Cup of Softball XII.
College Experience: Kilfoyl is a two-year letter winner at Oklahoma State after spending her first three seasons at Alabama. She appeared in 124 career games with 80 starts, compiling a 70-21 record with seven saves. Kilfoyl authored a 1.70 career earned run average with 549 strikeouts over 565.0 innings. She also registered 54 complete games and 20 shutouts during her college career. Kilfoyl is a two-way player who hit .237 with four home runs and 24 runs batted in over 99 games. Notably, she hit a home run in each of her final four seasons. During her time at Oklahoma State, Kilfoyl accumulated a 42-10 record over two seasons with 11 shutouts and five saves, along with 282 strikeouts and 29 complete games. She was recognized as a consensus First-Team All-America selection by NFCA, Softball America, and D1Softball as a graduate student. Kilfoyl was also a top 3 finalist for the 2024 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. Additionally, she received Third-Team NFCA All-America plaudits during her senior season at Oklahoma State. Kilfoyl was honored as the 2024 Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year and was a unanimous choice for the All-Big 12 First Team after compiling a 26-5 record with three saves and a career-best 1.20 earned run average. She tallied 152 strikeouts over 180.2 innings in 2024 while leading the Cowgirls to an NCAA Women’s College World Series appearance, limiting opposing hitters to a .173 batting average. As the only player in the NCAA Tournament to post a 5-0 record during Regional and Super Regional play, Kilfoyl posted a 0.75 earned run average with 27 strikeouts over 28.0 innings. She also fashioned seven shutouts in her final season at Oklahoma State, including five against nationally-ranked opponents. Kilfoyl went 16-5 with a team-best 1.70 earned run average and 130 strikeouts in 139.2 innings as a senior to earn Second-Team All-Big 12 recognition. She allowed just one run in 8.2 innings over two outings at the NCAA Women’s College World Series. Kilfoyl posted a 2.06 earned run average over 54 appearances at Alabama from 2020-2022. She recorded a 28-11 record with nine shutouts and 25 complete games, adding 267 strikeouts in 244.2 innings, including 131 strikeouts as a sophomore. Kilfoyl was a member of the 2021 All-Southeastern Conference Newcomer Team. As a junior, Kilfoyl fashioned a 9-3 record with a 3.04 earned run average and 79 strikeouts in 80.0 innings. She made 23 appearances in the circle with 16 starts as a sophomore, posting a 13-4 record with one save and a 2.08 earned run average while striking out 131 batters in 104.0 innings. She also collected 10 complete games with four shutouts. Kilfoyl threw her first career no-hitter against North Carolina on February 28, 2021, allowing only one walk with eight strikeouts and struck out 15 batters as part of a combined no-hitter against Alabama State at the NCAA Regionals. She saw action in 13 games with eight starts during the COVID-shortened freshman season, composing a 6-4 record with a 3.12 earned run average and 57 strikeouts over 60.2 innings.
