Utility player Jackie Lis has signed with the Texas Volts for the 2027 season.

Lis started 18 of 22 games during her rookie season as a Reserve Pool Player for the Volts. General manager Cat Osterman selected Lis in the 2026 AUSL College Draft as a provisional pick, so while she wasn’t a full-time rostered player last year, the team had first rights to sign her.

“Jackie bets on herself, and not a lot of people will always bet on themselves,” Osterman said when discussing signing Lis full-time to the team.

Lis ventured from Southern Illinois to Texas Tech, a jump from the Missouri Valley Conference to a national-title-contending team. She helped lead the Red Raiders to the NCAA Women’s College World Series Finals as a senior, hitting .415 with 21 home runs, 75 runs batted in, and 84 hits. She posted a 26-game on-base streak and recorded 21 multi-hit games.

“I think there’s just a belief in herself that is kind of unmatched… when you put her between the white lines, she believes she can do whatever it takes,” Osterman said.

As a key contributor on the Volts, Lis batted .292 with two home runs and eight runs batted in. She ranked sixth in the AUSL with a .424 on-base percentage and tied for fourth in the league with 11 walks. Lis’ utility capabilities were crucial for the Volts during the season as they navigated injuries.
