Right-handed pitcher Lyndsey Grein has signed with the Oklahoma City Spark for the 2027 season.
Grein appeared in seven games last season for the Spark as a Reserve Pool Player. General manager Kirk Walker selected Grein in the 2026 AUSL College Draft as a provisional pick, so while she wasn’t a full-time rostered player last year, the team had first rights to sign her.
The addition of Grein as a full-time Spark player “is going to be a huge impact and boost from the get-go,” Walker said.
Grein had an impressive rookie campaign. She posted a 2-1 record and a 2.28 ERA in 15.1 innings pitched.
“You know, Lyndsey’s a competitor. I’ve coached against her very closely while I was at UCLA and admire her so much and her grit – and she brought that.”
Grein had an All-American career at Virginia Tech and Oregon. She earned Softball America’s Most Improved Player of the Year while ranking second in NCAA Division I victories with her 30-5 record during her junior year as a Duck. She led Oregon with a 2.73 ERA and 195 strikeouts as a senior.
